The Apartment

This 70 sqm, two bedroom, two bathroom Paris vacation apartment is on two levels and has an outdoor terrace area in the lovely courtyard of the building. It is comfortably furnished in traditional style. The master bedroom and bathroom are at basement level and the living area, second bedroom, shower room and separate toilet are at ground level. The apartment is bright and airy and is ideal for a family of five or a group of friends with two single beds in the second bedroom that can be joined to form a double if you prefer and the single sofabed in the living area. Enjoy a morning coffee on the terrace or a glass of wine at the end of the day while looking out on the courtyard.

Left Bank, Notre Dame, rue de Buci, Sainte Chapelle, Pont Neuf, Louvre, rue Bonaparte, Pont des Arts, Le Procope, Les Deux Magots, Cafe Flore, Rue de Rennes, Odeon, La Sorbonne, Pantheon, Musée d'Orsay, Saint Sulpice ...

Rue Guenegaud is very close to the Seine where it is crossed by Pont Neuf and Pont des Arts. This Paris apartment rental has one of city's best street market experiences on its doorstep. The stretch of streets from boulevard Saint-Germain along rue de Buci and on to rue de Seine is an intense, bustling market scene with outdoor cafes, vendors and gourmet food shops. The intellectual cafe culture history of the neighbourhood was renowned worldwide and is still evident today when you take a coffee in Le Procope, Les Deux Magots or Café Flore along boulevard Saint Germain. Seek out the adjacent rue de Rennes for fashion, rue Bonaparte for art and antiques and all around Odéon metro for cinemas and much more.

For direct train connections with CDG and Orly Airports, use Saint-Michel - Notre Dame. Notre Dame itself, Luxembourg Gardens, Musée d'Orsay and the Louvre, across the river via the love lock laden Pont des Arts, are reachable on foot. If you are a good walker you would be comfortable striking out from here to Les Invalides and on to The Eiffel Tower in one direction, and Île saint Louis and the Marais in the other.

Fitted out beautifully

Thank you for your invitation to me to report my experience at Rue Guénégaud a few weeks ago.

Jeanne was extremely courteous and helpful when she came to settle us in and then again when she came to check on us at the end of our stay. She kindly organised a taxi to the Gare de L’Este and even waited with us until the cab arrived to ensure that we made our train in plenty of time.
The apartment was exactly as portrayed in the photos on the website and it was fitted out beautifully with all the equipment that we would need during our stay. The only thing I might dare to suggest is that the beds in the twin room could be made a little bit higher. This is only an observation from me because I do have mobility issues and I find it very difficult getting up from a low bed. It was a very insignificant problem however.

The location of course, is fabulous. We really felt that we were right in the heart of things and would certainly stay in the area again and of course would be happy to stay in the Rue Guénégaud again someday.

Many thanks and kind regards

Rue Guénégaud ...  very pleasant apartment

Stayed a week in Rue d’Assas between Christmas and new years eve 2011.
Perfect reception by the agency staff.
Very pleasant apartment altogether but some space for improvement: very low-end toilet seat, damaged showerhead, wall paint to refresh. Better street sound insulation would be a treat.

Rue Guénégaud ...  perfect location

We stayed in the rue du Guenegaud apartment for 10 days with 2 couples, and I can not say enough about its perfect location! A great neighborhood, filled with art galleries, nightlife very nearby, the Louvre just across a bridge. We were the envy of many friends.
The courtyard is lovely and makes it very quiet, and the birds in the garden were a surprise (the cage is covered at night so you won’t be bothered). Previous people have given accurate descriptions - there are 2 very private areas for sleeping, with so-so beds, but beware the plug-in toilet on the lower level - plug it in FIRST then flush. Why the owner does not put an on/off switch there is beyond me.
The other surprise was lots of plugs and extension cords - often a rarity in Europe. We were always recharging ou multiple electronics, and I have been in many places whre there are no spre outlets.
The kitchen is well-appointed, but if you know European washer/dryers, you can anticipated the “drying” to be non-existent, so just lay things out on the rack to dry.
The agency was a pleasure to deal with, and we will be back!
